The nifty maps recently posted by the Old One, developer of Cult, triggered a gush of inspiration. I went back to the cave’s world generator and did a few tweaks. The most important is a latitude-dependant temperature to have snow at poles. I also computed a precipitation map that I hopefully will be able to use to increase the land variety. Here is a (HUGE) 1440×900 example. The game map is only 400×400. As you see, it sill lacks rivers, too.
